从1989年雅思考试进入中国以来，到现在中国大陆成为最重要的考区，雅思考试的命题规律及难度系数越加趋于稳定，尤其是写作部分。

2016年雅思大作文题目有以下几个特点：

1、题目的表面陈述酷似新题或难题，实则是常规考题的变体，写作思路并无变化，比如02/27 的考题“产假”。

2、往年经典考题的重组，体现在过去讨论内容较多的单一考题被分拆成两道独立考题，或原先的两道独立考题合并为一道考试题目，比如12/15的考题“国际合作”。

3、A类作文考题和G类作文考题的相互渗透，比如03/31的考题 “孩子缺少运动”。
